Iranian‑American. Raised on the outskirts of Los Angeles, which is to say raised between things.

I make films about people the camera usually walks past. The work moves between music, commercial and narrative, but the interest never changes: find the room nobody has shot yet, and stay in it long enough for something true to happen.
